Short film, 2004
No one cries the death of Dr. Jacinto. His wine gets drunk, his gold and his house are shared, and yet the arduous tasks of taking his coffin by the winding mountain trails to the cemetery is not gladly taken by the few men left in the village. Portalinho is isolated from the world in its mountain range. “The dead has killed”, people say. Dr. Jacinto will never leave his village. His legacy will live on.
