“Star Sailors” is a historical fiction series about the first aerial crossing of the South Atlantic, when Portuguese aviation pioneers Carlos Gago Coutinho and Artur de Sacadura Cabral crossed the Atlantic Ocean for the first time in history.
Over 100 years ago, two Portuguese men achieved an unprecedented feat in aviation. Gago Coutinho revolutionized air navigation technology with this adventure, which began on March 30th and concluded on June 17th, 1922, during the celebrations of the first centenary of Brazilian Independence, connecting Lisbon and Rio de Janeiro.
