Feature film, 2015

Sérgio, a modest employee of the Companhia Industrial de Cataguases, Minas Gerais (Brazil), suffers a major setback in his life: his wife loses her mind while he loses both his job and the custody of his son. He then decides to emigrate to Lisbon, following the advice of his friends, in search of job opportunities allowing him to rebuild his life. Upon arrival, Sérgio is confronted with the harsh reality of emigration. The day-to-day life and cultural contrasts will reveal a place different from the one he had dreamed of.

Adapted from the homonymous novel by the award-winning Brazilian writer Luiz Ruffato.
