Directed by: José Neves
Creative Documentary, 2005
An outside look into the singularities of a remote and particular communitarian existence in the face of the increasing vulnerability to transformations that the arrival of outsiders implies: memories remembered, the present observed, collective celebrations, traces of loneliness, as well as the relationships between people and nature, old and new.
The film articulates, not always chronologically, several moments in a constant divergence with the soundtrack, its voice and amplification: life in the Fajã, in evocative, residual fragments, specificities of the gaze, inwards.
